WoW: Noblegarden 2012 Guide

It's time for Noblegarden--a hunt for loot, this time in the form of brightly colored eggs! We join together to "share the joy of life and friendship" all the while looking for carefully hidden eggs and devouring tons of chocolate!

Noblegarden starts on April 8 at 3:00 AM and ends on April 15 at 3:00 AM. Brightly Colored Eggs have been hidden all across the starting areas for both Alliance and Horde players to discover. These eggs can contain chocolates which serve as a currency to buy seasonal goodies--sometimes they also have special prizes! Simply head out to one of your faction's starting areas, grab some quests, and get out there and hunt eggs! Maybe you'll even earn some achievements along the way!

Remember, this year, a new mount is tied to the event: Swift Springstrider! It costs 500 Noblegarden chocolates this year--very lucky people will be able to find it in a Brightly Colored Egg as a very rare drop! There are also Pink Spring Circlet and Black Spring Circlet for Azeroth fashion aficionados!

Quests

• Spring Gatherers or Spring Collectors
  Start: Commoners found in the various cities
  End: Spring Gatherer or Spring Collector
  This quest is simply a breadcrumb quest, leading players from major cities to a Noblegarden camp, which can be found in the Horde or Alliance starting areas. For Horde, these areas include Bloodhoof Village, Brill, Falconwing Square, and Razor Hill. For Alliance, these areas include Azure Watch, Dolanaar, Goldshire, or Kharanos. Travel to any of them and speak to the Spring Gatherer or Spring Collector to obtain a daily quest.
  
  
  • The Great Egg Hunt or The Great Egg Hunt
    Start & End: Spring Gatherer or Spring Collector
    This quest is a daily quest, asking players to collect 20 Brightly Colored Shell Fragment in exchange for a Blossoming Branch and 7 40. Brightly Colored Shell Fragment can be found inside Brightly Colored Egg looted throughout the starting zones.
  
  
• A Tisket, a Tasket, a Noblegarden Basket or A Tisket, a Tasket, a Noblegarden Basket
  Start & End: Noblegarden Merchant or Noblegarden Vendor
  This quests gives you an Borrowed Egg Basket to aid you in collecting 10 Noblegarden Chocolate from Brightly Colored Eggs. Once you've got the chocolates, turn them in and you will be rewarded with a Egg Basket which you can use for a temporary speed boost in any of the starting zones that Brightly Colored Eggs can be found. This item has only a ten second cooldown.
  The basket that is rewarded is exactly the same as the one you are provided with for the quest. Unless you have extra chocolates, you should probably not complete the quest.

Hunting for Eggs

Players will once again be scurrying to hunt down Brightly Colored Eggs that spawn hidden in the starting areas of Azeroth:

• Alliance: Azure Watch, Dolanaar, Goldshire, and Kharanos
  
• Horde: Bloodhoof Village, Brill, Falconwing Square, and Razor Hill

Eggs can be found only in the starting areas.

The main item players will be collecting from the Brightly Colored Egg are the currency of the Noblegarden event: Noblegarden Chocolate. These will be in nearly every egg. Sometimes, instead of chocolate, an egg will contain an item such as Spring Rabbit's Foot. This means it's generally best to keep farming the eggs until you have enough chocolates to buy every item you want from the vendors, just in case you get lucky and get a valuable item or two while collecting eggs.

You should also expect to collect a lot of them; they are not only a currency used to purchase items from Noblegarden vendors, there are also achievements for actually consuming quantities of the chocolates.

Noblegarden Goodies

Noblegarden features a small assortment of festive items which can be purchased from a Noblegarden Vendor or Noblegarden Merchant (found in one of your faction's starting towns) in exchange for Noblegarden Chocolate. Or, you may get lucky and find one or more of these items while you're out hopping around for eggs!

In order to purchase all of the items available from the Noblegarden vendors (excluding the mage-only book) you will need a total of 965 Noblegarden Chocolate. You will need an additional 100 Noblegarden Chocolate to complete the two chocolate-consuming related achievements, and 10 Noblegarden Chocolate to complete A Tisket, a Tasket, a Noblegarden Basket so estimate that you should collect at least 1075 Noblegarden Chocolates.

That is, of course, assuming that you don't find any of the vendor items while hunting eggs--after opening that many eggs, I hope at least a few show up! Everything, including the new mount, can be found in the eggs so lady luck is definitely on your side!

It is important to remember that you have a chance to find nearly all of the items required for achievements contained in Brightly Colored Egg, with the exception of the Noblegarden Egg required for Noble Garden (Alliance Version). The White Tuxedo Shirt, Black Tuxedo Pants, Spring Robes, Spring Flowers and Spring Rabbit's Foot can all be found inside Brightly Colored Egg and the Blossoming Branch is available as a reward from the daily quest The Great Egg Hunt (Alliance version). This brings the total number of Noblegarden Chocolate required down to 105!

Please note that unfortunately your Mage will have to be at least level 60 to purchase Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit.

Achievements

• Noble Gardener or Noble Gardener
  This achievement can be found in the main World Events achievement category and is awarded upon completion of every one of the Noblegarden achievements except Dressed For The Occasion and Sunday's Finest. This achievement awards the player title the Noble and is a requirement towards completion of What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been (Alliance version) which rewards the beautiful Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake.
  
• Blushing Bride
  For this achievement, you must kiss another player of either gender who is wearing an Elegant Dress while you are wearing a White Tuxedo Shirt and Black Tuxedo Pants. These clothes can be found randomly in a Brightly Colored Egg or purchased from a vendor in exchange for Noblegarden Chocolate. Note that the achievement is only awarded to the player wearing the Tuxedo set (and that this Tuxedo set is different than the tailor-crafted set), so in order to complete the achievement you will have to purchase the White Tuxedo Shirt and Black Tuxedo Pants yourself while another player can have the Elegant Dress. Since these items are not bind on pickup, however, you can opt to simply trade clothes with a friend and take turns getting the achievement.
  
• Chocolate Lover
  For this achievement you must eat 25 Noblegarden Chocolate discovered inside Brightly Colored Eggs. Make sure you still save enough to buy goodies from the vendor!
  
• Chocoholic
  For this achievement you must eat 100 Noblegarden Chocolate discovered inside Brightly Colored Egg. Since this is a meta achievement, you only need an additional 75 Noblegarden Chocolate after the first 25 you consumed for Chocolate Lover. Once again, make sure you collect enough chocolates to nab this achievement and still be able to buy goodies from the vendor!
  
• Desert Rose
  For this achievement, you must first obtain the Spring Robes either from a Brightly Colored Egg or purchased from a vendor for 50 Noblegarden Chocolate. Simply equip the robes and you can activate it's 'Use' ability, which in this case plants a flower where you stand! Once you've got the robes on, simply travel to each of these five deserts - Badlands, Desolace, Silithus, Tanaris and Thousand Needles - and plant a flower.
  
• Dressed for the Occasion
  This luck-based achievement is awarded upon discovering an Elegant Dress inside a Brightly Colored Egg. This achievement is not a requirement for the meta-achievement Noble Gardener (Alliance version).
  
• Hard Boiled
  For this achievement you must lay an egg in the Golakka Hot Springs of Un'Goro Crater while polymorphed into a Noblegarden Bunny. There are two different ways to become a Noblegarden Bunny. The easy way is to have another player travel with you and use a Blossoming Branch to change you into a rabbit. Simply stand around long enough and eventually your rabbit will lay an egg--voila, achievement done. The more complicated way is to open Brightly Colored Eggs until you are randomly transformed into a Noblegarden Bunny. Then, good luck getting to Un'goro. The most logical way to get there (assuming a level 80 character who isn't an engineer):
  
  
  • 1. Get transformed into a rabbit.
    
  • 2. Hearth to Dalaran or Gadgetzan.
    
  • 3. If you hearthed to Dalaran, take the portal to Caverns of Time located inside the Violet Citadel.
    
  • 4. Run across Tanaris to Un'Goro Crater, praying not to get in combat because damage will break the disguise. Oh, and you can't mount or taxi, either, so the run will take you close to 15 minutes. Swimming won't remove your rabbit costume.
    
  • 5. Sit anywhere at the Golakka Hot Springs for a few seconds, until you lay an egg.
  Obviously, the method stated first is much, much easier and way more practical!
  
• I Found One!
  For this achievement you must simply loot a Brightly Colored Egg from inside a Brightly Colored Egg, found in any starting zone in Azeroth.
  
• Noble Garden or Noble Garden
  For this achievement you must hide a Noblegarden Egg anywhere in Silvermoon City (if you're Horde) or Stormwind City (if you're Alliance). These eggs can be purchased from the Noblegarden vendors for 5 Noblegarden Chocolate, and you can then loot the egg yourself to get a Noblegarden Chocolate back (and maybe something else)!

  

  Shake Your Bunny-Maker
  For this achievement you must use Spring Flowers to place bunny ears on a female of each race that is level 18 or higher. Spring Flowers can be purchased from a Noblegarden vendor for 50 Noblegarden Chocolate or may be randomly looted from a Brightly Colored Egg. While finding females of every race may not be very difficult, the item has a 5 minute cooldown.
  
  
• Spring Fling or Spring Fling
  This achievement requires that you have first obtained the Spring Rabbit's Foot, either by looting it randomly from a Brightly Colored Egg or purchasing it from a Noblegarden vendor for 100 Noblegarden Chocolate. Once you have done that, head out to each of the four starting areas for your faction and find another player with a Spring Rabbit. After a few moments of the rabbits noticing each other, the magic will happen! No spoilers, but ha ha, "like rabbits" and all that - let's keep things PG-13 and pretend we're all mature enough to simply have a chuckle at Blizzard's little joke. Anyway, do this at all four starting areas and you're done!
  
• Sunday's Finest
  This luck-based achievement is awarded upon discovering both the White Tuxedo Shirt and the Black Tuxedo Pants inside a Brightly Colored Egg. This achievement is not a requirement for the meta-achievement Noble Gardener (Alliance version).
