WoW: New Pets And Mounts Available in Patch 4.1 By Mimiron My name is Stan, I am 19 years old. Currently I am studying at a University. The most time I enjoyed playing was high-end TBC - Sunwell Plateau.

Patch 4.1 is out for more than a week now and it's time to look at the new companions as well as mounts added within this patch, since we have all of their models.

Mounts

Armored Razzashi Raptor

Previously you could, solo farm the Raptor from Bloodlord Mandokir rather easily. Well, those times are over, currently, the Armored Razzashi Raptor is out. Its current drop rate is 17 out of 1094 which brings the total drop chance to somewhere near 1.6%.

Still this item is dropped by Mandokir though you have to expect a chance of 20% when it drops which is really a pity since its drop rate is so very low.

The model is currently purple-red as you can see on the picture above, taken in Stormwind.

This is the third raptor mount to be available to alliance players. The first one was the former Swift Razzashi Raptor, the second the Skeletal Raptor obtained via Archaeology. (I did not count the raptor mount available via Redemption - Loot Cards).

Bloodlord Mandokir has remained a boss in the newly revamped heroic version of Zul'Gurub.

Swift Zulian Panther

A alternative to the Zulian Tiger, is the Swift Zulian Panther dropped by High Priestess Kilnara.

Stats are reporting 16 drops out of 1233 which brings the total drop rate to an even lower number as that in the case of the raptor, 1.3%.

The mount itself really doesn't look that bad, but I just think the Swift Panther is not that fancy alternative for the former Zulian Tiger as the raptor is. In the screenshot, taken in Orgrimmar, you can see the two mounts. On the foreground, left side, there is the Swift Zulian Tiger and on the background, right, there's the Zulian Panther.

Amani Battle Bear

Is a recolour of the former Amani War Bear. It has reappeared in-game and is now available from the same source, the Time Run in Zul'Aman.

Winged Guardian

This mount will be available very soon. It's the Celestial Steed of Cataclysm. You will have to spend 20 ?in order to obtain it. After buying, it will be automatically sent for all your present as well as future characters, regardless of server.
