My name is Stan, I am 19 years old. Currently I am studying at a University. I am the founder of the FB group which posted Cataclysm news since 8/23/09. I am playing WoW since the release of Burning Crusade. I like writing articles regarding Cataclysm. The most time I enjoyed playing was high-end TBC - Sunwell Plateau.

World of Warcarft: Children's Week 2011

Not long ago, the Noblegarden has come to its end, now it's time to show some respect to the Children in need.

Added for the first time in patch 3.2, Children's Week is celebrated by both Horde and Alliance in their respective major city. It starts at the beginning of May and lasts a whole week.

Reminder: Completion of achievements regarding this particular event is needed in order to complete the What a Long and Strange Trip it's been meta achievement, which rewards the Violet Proto-Drake.

Let's now have a closer look at achievements and how to complete them, for the year 2011.

Major Information

Completion of the For the Children achievement, requires a total of 6 achievements.

After you finish them, you shall be granted a title, depending on your sex. For females it's Matron + PlayerName, for male players it's Patron+ PlayerName.

Now we will be dealing with all of the achievements one by one...

Home Alone

This achievement is easy to complete. All you have to do is use your Hearthstone whenever you have the orphan summoned.

You have to eat sweets while your orphan is watching. All of the sweets can be obtained from the Pie, Pastry & Cakes vendors, all, but one should be located in your respective major city. Aimee from whom you buy Dalaran Doughnut is located...guess where?

Daily Chores

World of Warcarft: Children's Week 2011

You need tocomplete five, totally random daily quests while your orphan is out. He needs to know that for the future of Azeroth, he mustn't sit in an inn and get drunk while Deathwing tears Azeroth asunder.

Aw, Isn't It Cute

World of Warcarft: Children's Week 2011

You must choose between more than three pets, in order to complete this. If you complete the whole questline involving the orphan, you will be given one of the cutest pet in Warcraft, now idn't that cute? BUT IT'S WRONG!

School of Hard Knocks

This one requires PvP. You must complete this in the respective battlegrounds listed above with your orphan summoned:

• Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm;

• Assault a flag in Arathi Basin (I suppose the Stables is the best here);

• Assault a tower in Alterac Valley (When Alliance rushes to the horde headquarters, or vice-versa, take this to your advantage and assault one tower);

• Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch (this is the most tricky part, for a lot of players will be wanting to complete this achievement so I advise you to follow each opposite faction flag carrier and spam right click on him in order to return the flag);

Hail To The King, Baby

While your orphan is out, defeat King Ymiron in Utgarde Pinnacle. This can be completed on both, normal and heroic difficulty.
